WhatBots.io helps businesses manage WhatsApp conversations and automation. How deletion works depends on who you are.
That business (not WhatBots.io) decides how long to keep chat history and contact details. To ask for deletion of your messages or profile information held by them, contact the business directly (e.g. the phone number or brand you chatted with).
Meta also provides tools and policies for WhatsApp users; see WhatsApp legal resources for options that apply on WhatsApp itself.
You can request closure of your workspace account and deletion of personal data we hold as data controller for the Service (e.g. user profile, email, workspace settings), subject to legal retention needs.
How to submit a deletion request (required by Meta Platform Terms):
We will confirm identity where reasonable and complete deletion within a commercially reasonable time, typically within 30 days, unless your request is complex or law requires limited retention (e.g. security logs or billing records).
Deletion may be performed manually or via automated processes. You do not need a Facebook account deletion callback for this Service unless you signed in with Facebook (we use email/password sign-in).
Message content and metadata may be stored to provide live chat, automation, and logs. Workspace administrators can manage or remove much of this through the dashboard where features exist; otherwise use the email process above. Some records may be retained if required for legal, security, or dispute resolution purposes.
Data exchanged through the WhatsApp Cloud API is also subject to Meta’s terms and technical controls. Deleting data in WhatBots.io does not automatically delete all copies Meta may hold. If you connected WhatsApp through Meta, you may also need to remove the app or revoke permissions in Meta account settings where applicable.
